During her senior year of college, Claire began feeling unusually tired. She was losing weight, thirsty all the time, and struggling to keep up with everyday life. Without great health insurance as a young adult, she waited to seek care—until she couldn’t wait any longer. |
At 21 years old, she received a life-changing diagnosis: type 1 diabetes. Those early months weren’t easy. Her days were filled with new routines, sleepless nights, and all the questions that come with navigating an unexpected diagnosis.

But Claire found strength in her support system. Her husband, Parker, learned alongside her, and compassionate health care professionals, including diabetes educators helped her understand how to manage diabetes day by day. |
