Dear John,

A husband and father of five U.S. citizen children, Mr. V lived in the United States for more than two decades. But overnight, he was taken hundreds of miles from home to a remote detention center in the Southwest and told he would soon be deported and separated from his family. 

That’s when the Council stepped in. Through our Immigration Justice Campaign, we connected Mr. V’s case with a volunteer attorney who fought relentlessly to keep his family together – and won. 

Stories like this remind us what’s at stake and what’s possible when we act together. We need your help to hit finish off the year strong and prepared to help more immigrants in 2026.
