Yesterday, like many Canadians, I spent time with my family. It was a chance to slow down, take stock, and think about what really matters as one year ends and another begins.
Moments like that make it clear why year-end giving isn’t just about closing out 2025. It’s about the Canada we choose to help build for our children and grandchildren, and the values we decide to carry forward into the year ahead.
With just six days left before December 31, there is still time to make a meaningful, tax-smart contribution. Political donations are the most tax-advantaged charitable gifts in Canada, with up to 75% returned through tax credits.

That matters because 2026 is shaping up to be the most consequential year for the Green Party in a decade. Early by-elections are likely. Political dynamics are shifting quickly. If we enter the new year under-prepared, we start behind.
What we raise now determines what we can do in the first 100 days of 2026. It affects whether we can respond quickly when a by-election is called, whether we have organizers on the ground in key ridings, and whether Green voices are present and credible when national conversations break.
Your year-end donation helps make that possible. It allows us to:

- Stay flexible in a fast-moving and uncertain political year
This past year showed what committed supporters can do together. In 2025, Green voices broke through nationally. Climate truth reached millions. Accountability mattered because people like you chose not to give up, even when the odds were steep.
This final week of the year is decisive. Thirty to forty percent of all annual donations arrive now, and our year-end total will determine how ready we are for 2026.
Because Elections Canada rules prohibit corporate and union donations, our work depends entirely on individual Canadians stepping up today.
