We Must Hold Trump Accountable
President Trump’s unAmerican abuses of power are escalating and hurdling our country toward a very dark place.
That’s why I’m standing up to his dictator-like tactics by introducing two bills to limit presidential pardon power and joining my colleagues to demand an Inspector General (IG) investigation into Trump’s decision to order unmarked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents to use force against peaceful protestors.

The decision to send unmarked DHS agents to use force against protestors is unAmerican and has no legitimate legal rationale. It’s not even clear in the law that they had the authority to deploy these forces at all.
We all know the Trump administration isn’t known for respecting the Constitution, but it’s a slap in the face that they are so regularly ignoring the very first amendment:
the right to free speech.
Instead of following the law, Trump and his complicit lapdog AG Barr are using unidentifiable officers to arrest and detain peaceful Americans who are exercising their guaranteed constitutional rights — without having the decency to inform local officials of their activities.
