Picture this: In Ghana, communities are restoring degraded land through agroforestry, rebuilding both ecosystems and livelihoods. In Kenya, the deployment of 1,000 solar-powered cold storage units will reduce methane emissions and raise farmer incomes by reducing the rate of crops decomposing after harvest. At COP30, WRI helped launch breakthrough initiatives linking climate action to job creation, proving that protecting our planet and supporting people go hand in hand.

The momentum is real. Since 2015, solar and wind's share of electricity generation has more than tripled. Investments in clean energy now surpass fossil fuel funding for the second year running. Several countries are accelerating national climate action at unprecedented speed. A decade ago, progress like this seemed unimaginable.
