Hey John — nice to meet you! My name's Andy Volosky, and I'm Roy's Digital Director.

I know Roy's been reaching out over the last few days about our end-of-quarter deadline, and I wanted to jump in with a different perspective from my side of the campaign. I'm the one tracking every online donation that comes through, and right now, I need to flag something really important.

In five days, we’ll reach our fundraising deadline, which means we’ll have to file a public report with the Federal Election Commission. When we file, everyone will see our online fundraising numbers — our opponent, the GOP, political analysts, reporters.

So here's where things stand as of today: We’re a little more than halfway to our $1 million online goal, and we have five days to close the gap. John, if you’re all-in on electing Roy to the Senate — and I know you are because you’re reading my email the day after Christmas — I need you to chip in a few bucks ASAP.

I know it’s a weird time to be asking, but online donations are the clearest sign of a campaign’s strength. They show whether everyday people are invested in this race, or whether we're getting drowned out by the mega-donors bankrolling Michael Whatley.

And when the GOP sees our report, they'll make a calculation: Is Roy's support strong enough that we need to pour even more into defeating him? Is there a weakness we can exploit?

We can't give them an opening. Not in a toss-up race. Not when NC is the key to the Senate majority. If you've been thinking about chipping in, this is the moment.
