We’re only weeks away from one of the most critical moments in this election. In August, Joe Biden’s vice presidential selection will be our first signal of the type of leaders he wants on his team in the White House.

Ultimately, a Biden administration would be tasked with rebuilding our nation after four disastrous years of Donald Trump — but Joe recognizes that it’s not enough to simply turn back the clock. We must aspire to be bolder. Our next administration must work to address systemic injustices that have been around since long before Trump was in the Oval Office.

During a time of uncertainty and hatred, we can come out stronger by electing leaders who will join us in our fight for change. We’ve already seen the Biden campaign listen to our generation’s concerns and work with Sen. Bernie Sanders to adopt the most progressive platform of any Democratic nominee of our time — and the #YouthVote is just getting started.
