Dear Georgian,
Today, families across the country are celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The birth of Jesus Christ marks the beginning of the fulfillment of God's covenant to Abraham, that all nation's would be blessed through his descendants. The Gospel of John speaks of the birth of Christ in Chapter 1, verse 14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
For Christians, Christmas is a joyous day. It is a celebration of God's love and commitment to His creation, us. As we gather today to open presents and enjoy the company of our families, let us all be sure to remember that the true blessing of Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ.
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!
