John,
On Christmas morning, before the day fills up, I always try to pause and remember what this day is really about.
For our family, that means a little chaos, a lot of laughter, and two very excited kids reminding us how much the simple moments matter. Liz and I are grateful to be home in Massachusetts, grounded in the community and traditions that make this place feel like home.

Christmas is also a time to reflect on service. I’ve seen, both in uniform and in public office, how much our country depends on people who quietly show up and take responsibility for one another. That sense of duty is something Massachusetts has always understood, and it’s something our country needs more of right now.
I know this has been a heavy year for many families. But days like today are a reminder of why leadership matters and why public service should always be about people, not power.
From my family to yours, I hope today brings you peace, warmth, and time with the people you love.
Merry Christmas.
