VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump issues creepy Christmas message to 8-year-old girl
America's imbecile-in-chief took Christmas phone calls from kids yesterday, and, of course, managed to make the entire affair a) very creepy and b) all about himself. In one particularly jarring exchange, Trump told a young girl she sounded "so beautiful and cute" before asking her her age. Look, if you are currently engaged in the cover-up of a sex-trafficking operation run by the most notorious pedophile in American history who also happened to be one of your closest friends, one thing you should perhaps not do is tell an 8-year-old girl she sounds "so beautiful." A normal person might get away with saying as much, but a normal person also probably wouldn't brag about their electoral victories to KIDS CALLING IN TO TALK ABOUT SANTA ON CHRISTMAS EVE. We know this is a loaded question, but what the hell is wrong with this guy?

DOJ says it may need a "few more weeks" to finish releasing Epstein files
The Justice Department said Wednesday that it may need a "few more weeks" to release all of its records on the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after suddenly discovering more than a million potentially relevant documents, further delaying compliance with last Friday's congressionally mandated deadline. The Christmas Eve announcement came hours after a dozen US senators called on the Justice Department's watchdog to examine its failure to meet the deadline. The group, 11 Democrats and a Republican, told Acting Inspector General Don Berthiaume in a letter that victims "deserve full disclosure" and the "peace of mind" of an independent audit. The DOJ said in a social media post that federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the FBI "have uncovered over a million more documents" that could be related to the Epstein case — a stunning 11th hour development after department officials suggested months ago that they had undertaken a comprehensive review that accounted for the vast universe of Epstein-related materials.

Bitter winter heaps new hardships on the women and girls of Gaza
UNFPA: A shaky ceasefire is in place, but 700,000 menstruating women and girls that live in the cramped displacement camps of Gaza are still facing desperate shortages of the most basic necessities — and a bitter winter looms. 10 million menstrual pads are needed every month, but less than a quarter of that is available to ease the indignity and discomfort of Gazan women. UNFPA is leading a drive to provide 2,500 Dignity Kits to women and girls in Gaza, making sure they have menstrual products, soap, toothbrushes, and clean clothing so they can live with dignity, even in the darkest of times. Each kit costs just $15 to produce – Will you chip in to ease the suffering of some of the world’s most vulnerable women?
Trump fires off angry holiday message to "radical left scum"
In what's become something of a Christmas tradition, Donald Trump sent a signature, vitriolic holiday message purportedly wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, specifically his political opponents, whom he once again deemed "scum." (Pssst, that's us!) To hear the MAGA cult leader tell it, we are doing everything in our power to destroy America and make everyone gay or trans or poor or something, but we're failing badly because he is just so dang good at his job. Ho, ho, ho.

Labor unions gear up to fight against Trump’s "Billionaire First" agenda
Donald Trump has staged a year of "unrelenting attacks on working people," according to the head of the largest federation of the labor unions in the US. Now they're preparing to fight back. Liz Shuler, president of the AFL-CIO, said her union was gearing up to challenge the US president’s "Billionaire First" agenda in 2026 — and drive candidates in key elections to stand up for "struggling" Americans. "People are fed up," she said. "They’re saturated. I think they’re distrustful of institutions and the media. All of the folks that we have come to rely on over the years seem to be waning in trust, and there’s only one organization left that people do trust, and that’s the labor movement, unions. Our credibility and trust is actually going up. And so we think that we have to capitalize on what our sweet spot is, which is using our sphere of influence."
Trump kicks off Christmas Day with over 100 posts attacking Somalis, praising the economy, and alleging voter fraud
Uh, someone at the compound might need to take grandad's phone privileges away the rest of the day.
