I hope your day is magical!
Good morning, my friend! I hope this morning has you waking up to things like fresh snow, a sparkling tree, and the people you love.
It wouldn't be Christmas at The OP if I didn't post my first piece of prepper fiction, A Post-Apocalypse Christmas Story.

Our Christmas is far smaller this year, as my oldest daughter can't make it home. But, we're all three wearing our matching Christmas PJs from last year and having Chinese food and watching movies, so our tradition is intact as much as we can make it from a distance. Money is tight, so we have all agreed to a no-present policy.
It seems strange, since we are accustomed to piles of gifts, for there to be nothing under the tree, but somehow, I don't really miss it. I have enough magic in my life just to be in a home where I can come and go independently, after feeling trapped in a charming apartment that was completely inaccessible.
Soon, when my youngest daughter awakes, there will be orange chicken and lo mein for breakfast, a Die Hard marathon on television, and happiness in my heart for the two people I love most in this world.
Many would look at our celebration and see lack. No gifts, no big get-together, no ham and turkey feast. But I look at it and see nothing but love. I have a beautiful, loving, accepting relationship with my girls, and that is the greatest gift I can imagine.
I hope that you have the same feeling of peace and joy that I do this holiday.
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Daisy
