Team,

I know this season can hold a lot at once. Joy and stress. Celebration and grief. Hope and worry. So I will keep it simple. I am grateful for you. For the neighbors who check on neighbors. For the folks working long shifts so the rest of us can gather. For the parents doing their best. For the elders who keep our stories and our faith.

Memphis is a city with a fighting spirit and a big heart. Even when we do not agree on everything, I believe we can still come together around the basics. Keeping our families safe. Treating each other with dignity. Making sure every neighborhood gets a fair shot.

If you are spending this time with family, I hope you feel loved. If you are spending it alone, I hope you feel seen. And if today is hard, please know you are not carrying it by yourself.
