John--

The year-end is full of holidays and celebrations. But it is also a challenging month for organizations like New Jewish Narrative. We rely on your contributions each December for one-third of our annual operating budget. Your support will fuel the fight for peace, justice, and a progressive Israel in the year ahead.

The bad news: With just six days left, we’re falling behind in our December goal.

The good news: We’ve been in this tough spot before, and with help from our passionate, dedicated supporters, we’ve managed to reach our goal from here.

John, can we count on you for an end-of-year contribution to help us close this shortfall? Click here to make a donation.

With so much uncertainty ahead, here are two things we can be certain of in 2026:

  • This Israeli government will do everything that it can to stoke fear and division in Israel as it enters an election year. They will try to stall any progress on completing the withdrawal from Gaza. They will give the settler movement free rein to create facts on the ground -- through home demolitions, settlement construction, and violent settler attacks.
  • The Trump administration will exploit every opportunity they can to whip up anger against their perceived enemies -- immigrants, our Muslim neighbors, the universities -- and they will continue to exploit the pretense that some of their actions are intended to protect Jews from antisemitism.

But there are two more things we can be certain of in 2026:

  • Our Israeli and Palestinian allies struggling for peace, security, and justice will continue to press ahead, and NJN will be there to help elevate their voices. We’ll keep funding Peace Now, and we will make sure that their voices are heard in Washington and in the media.
  • NJN will be present on Capitol Hill, on college campuses, in the Jewish communities, and working in partnership with other progressive voices to keep pressing for our values. Even in the midst of the setbacks of 2025, we were able to create new inroads and build coalitions that will serve our movement for years to come.

As we plan out our strategies, we know our impact will depend on the commitment of our community and on the level of resources we can invest. We’re counting on you, John -- and others like you and me -- to step up and support this work. Donate now.

Thank you for being a part of this work with me.

In solidarity,

Noam Shelef
