The Trump administration quietly announced earlier this week that it is no longer providing abortion care or counseling for veterans relying on VA health care—even in instances of rape, incest, or to save the health of the pregnant person. They thought we wouldn’t notice, but we’ve had our eye on them since Day 1.

This policy is effectively a national abortion ban for the more than 9 million veterans and their beneficiaries who can no longer access abortion care at VA health care facilities, including in the 14 states that protect abortion rights.
