This year, God has shown us his loving kindness through the prayers and actions of His people. We have been overwhelmed by the support of our community, especially our parents, as we've navigated both this year's joys and challenges. Here is a quick recap of our year:

Jan: Emma started doctoring at Mayo for Stage IV Endo.

Jan: Jordan started session. New roles this year include Assistant Leader for the Senate GOP Caucus and Ranking Member on the Human Services Committee. 

May: We bought a house built in 1914 in Fergus Falls!

June: We traveled to Boston together to see many college friends and several new babies!

June: Jordan had special session in St. Paul to address the state budget.

June: We were deeply grieved by the attack on Jordan's legislative colleagues and the death of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark. 

June: Emma had an 8 hour surgery at Mayo to remove Endo.

July: Emma was flown to Sanford for emergency surgery due to internal bleeding.

Aug: We traveled to Spearfish, SD for a dear friend's wedding and did some easy hiking. (Emma was still recovering)

Aug: Our second nephew was born! Being Aunt and Uncle is still one of the sweetest joys we have ever known. 

Sept: Jordan's trusty Jeep finally broke down after many miles traveling across SD9 and trips to the Capitol. 

Oct: We attended the Housing First dinner where Jordan was awarded Legislator of the Year for work on housing reform. 

Our prayer for you this Christmas is that you are shown God's love in truly tangible ways, as He has graciously shown to us this year. Joy to the world, our LORD has come! Merry Christmas!
