It seems that socialism has returned with renewed confidence, particularly among younger Americans.

The growing popularity and electoral success of figures such as Zohran Mamdani reflect a broader shift: for many in Generation Z and Millennials, Big Government is no longer questioned, but foolishly embraced as if it were morally necessary.

At Independent Institute, we take this shift seriously.

Love Gov meets young people where they are–using wit, humor, and storytelling to examine how Big Government policies actually work in practice. Since its creation, Love Gov has achieved over 52 million views from young people, warning them of the dangers of government dependency. They are discovering through Love Gov that they can look beyond government to their own creativity, ingenuity and hard work.

Because of this response, we are now preparing Love Gov Season 4.

As more young Americans are encouraged to place their hopes in government solutions, the need for thoughtful alternatives has only grown. This is precisely why Love Gov’s continued expansion matters.
