Friend,

Our Cool It campaign works to eliminate climate super-pollutants from supermarkets – and we’ve got a new video to help spread the word.

Watch and share our new video explaining how refrigerants are a massive climate issue!

Refrigerants are among the top existing solutions to cut greenhouse gas emissions that are driving the climate crisis. The climate impacts of these gases used in our refrigeration and air conditioning aren’t usually talked about – and we want that to change.

The most common gases used in refrigeration are called HFCs and they’re thousands of times more powerful than CO2!

To fight the climate crisis, we must end dangerous HFC emissions. Our campaign focuses on supermarkets because they leak a quarter of their refrigerants, which really adds up to do a lot of damage.

Supermarkets in the US are leaking 45 million metric tons of greenhouse gases every year – that’s the equivalent of 9.5 million cars on the road!

Fortunately, there are solutions. Stores can better monitor and repair leaks and work to phase out dangerous HFCs from their facilities by switching to sustainable, widely available refrigerants.

We need your help to spread the word on this important issue – watch and share our new video using the links below!

We’re building momentum to push huge retailers like Walmart to eliminate harmful HFC emissions. With your help, we can raise attention to this important issue and hold companies accountable.

Join us in telling companies to Cool It for the Climate by sharing our video today!
