* $398 million+ in federal grants for our district
* $25 million to modernize public transit in Birmingham and Jefferson County
* $5.8 million for disaster relief in Selma and York
* $3.2 million secured in the FY26 budget for Black Belt infrastructure
* $1.7 million returned to constituents in owed federal benefits
We also stood up to President Trump’s reckless tariffs, pushed back against cuts to health care and food assistance, and defended our civil rights history from attacks.
