Right now, Donald Trump is unleashing the full weight of the federal government on Colorado to try to unravel the rule of law and strongarm our state into releasing one of his election-interfering allies, Tina Peters, from state prison. Someone who was prosecuted by a Republican district attorney and convicted by a heavily Republican jury, by the way. Just felons helping felons. But Colorado refuses to bend to Trump’s will, so Trump is abusing his power to cause real harm to our state and country as a whole. First, he announced his intent to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder under the guise of “climate alarmism” — threatening 830 Colorado jobs and risking the life-saving scientific breakthroughs those folks make possible. Then, Trump rejected Colorado’s request for disaster relief funding following devastating wildfires and flooding across the state these past few months. These are real people trying to rebuild their lives after losing their homes that he’s messing with. It’s beyond cruel. Coloradans refuse to be pawns in Trump’s political games. We’re standing up for our state, standing up for the rule of law, and standing up for science. We’re rallying outside NCAR and we’re blocking a vote on the Senate funding package to protect that critical funding. ![]() If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
