In 2025, our chapters mobilized to support several candidates and are activating their volunteers to support candidates for 2026 races, even during this holiday season! Some of the pro-housing champions our volunteers have supported are:

Ghazala Hashmi, who made history as the first Muslim American woman elected to statewide office with her victory in Virginia's Lieutenant Governor’s race.

Chris Conway, who has gone from YIMBY Fort Collins chapter volunteer leader to a Fort Collins City Council Member.

Drake Warren, a Gen Z member of our Abundant Housing Illinois chapter, who is currently running for local office in Cook County with support from our volunteers.
