We were joined by 34 elected and appointed officials at this year’s Elected Site Visits in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Our EAON members met with local activists and nonprofits to learn about various issues and solutions around housing, land use and environmental justice. These teaching weekends create invaluable moments for our network members to build community, learn from one another, and gather practical inspiration for policies and approaches that they can bring back to strengthen the places they serve.
In addition to training New Americans to run for office, we are committed to equipping and supporting our alumni with the tools and development they need to succeed. Events like our Elected and Appointed Officials Site Visits and Capitol Shadow Days are the perfect hands-on spaces for our network to gain deeper insights into how policy solutions and local governance really works.
