Dear John,

As we enter this Christmas season, I want to take a moment on behalf of our
national leadership to thank each of you for your unwavering service and
dedication. Across this nation, LULAC members continue to stand on the front
lines for our communities, often quietly, often without recognition, but always
with conviction and heart.

This has not been an easy time for our community. We are witnessing renewed
challenges to our civil rights and our place in this country. Yet in the face of
these pressures, we have not retreated. We have stood firm, advocating,
educating, and defending the values of justice, and respect that define who we
are. Now more than ever, we must remain vigilant, informed, and engaged. We must
defend our families with conviction and speak out whenever our rights or our
future are threatened.

Please know that your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. The strength of LULAC has
always come from its members - people like you - who believe that standing up for
others is not optional, but essential. As we move forward into the new year, we
will continue this work together, united, resilient, and guided by the belief
that justice and equality must prevail. This new year must be a year of
mobilization. Mobilization to protect our youth, to stand with our immigrant
families and mobilization to access education, voting rights, and economic
opportunity. We must be present in our communities, in civic spaces, in schools,
in courtrooms, and at the ballot box. We cannot allow fear, misinformation, or
division to weaken our resolve.

Christmas reminds us of hope born in difficult circumstances. It is that same
hope I see in our Council Presidents and our members across the country. Your
work matters, your voices matter, and your presence in your community continues
to make a real and lasting difference. Let us move forward together with
determination and purpose. United and organized, we are strong and unstoppable.
When we are grounded in our values, we continue to be a powerful voice for
justice and equality.

From my family to yours, I wish all of you and your family a Merry Christmas
filled with peace, health, and renewed strength. May this season bring you
comfort and the assurance that you are part of something greater, a movement
rooted in service, dignity, and hope. Thank you for your service, your courage,
and your unwavering commitment to LULAC.

Que viva LULAC,

Roman Palomares
National President
