This year, I have worked to defend and promote the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and the rights and freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution.  I have responded to President Trump’s rapid consolidation of power that undermines the checks and balances that are central to American democracy through my work in Congress, in the courts, and in the community.
