Good news!
A federal judge struck down the Trump administration’s unlawful freeze on wind energy permitting — a move that would have pushed utility bills higher, threatened clean-energy jobs, and undermined Maryland’s climate goals.
Because of this ruling:
- Wind projects that power 700,000+ homes can move forward.
- Thousands of good-paying Maryland jobs stay on track.
- Our state can keep building the clean, affordable energy future families deserve.
This victory proves that when we stand up to unlawful overreach, we can protect jobs, lower costs, and defend our future. But we know more fights are coming. The administration has challenged clean energy again and again, and they will appeal this ruling.
