I grew up watching my dad and uncles pour their lives into Alaska’s timber industry—working hard and always putting our community first. They started Viking Lumber in 1994, creating products that reach far beyond our Prince of Wales Island home—like Steinway pianos and Gibson guitars that fill the world with music. But none of this is possible without rightful access to the Tongass National Forest.

We’re in the fight of our lives. The federal government trampled our rights, trying to erase what’s left of Alaska’s timber industry. For a while, it felt impossible to keep going. Then Pacific Legal Foundation stepped in.
