Team,
As we enter this wonderful holiday season, we just received some sobering news.

The Republican candidate for New York Governor in 2026 will be the Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who was just re-elected by a large margin in November.
The Nassau Republican machine will pull out all the stops to turn out voters in Nassau County and the National Republicans will use the Governor’s race as another way to try and defeat Tom Suozzi.
Newsday published an article today that lays out the challenges facing our campaign.
NY-3 just became even more competitive. Here is the current situation.
- Donald Trump won Tom’s district by 19,000 votes in 2024.
- Blakeman won Tom’s district in his County Executive reelection by about the same amount last month. And Nassau County is the large majority of Tom’s district.
- The National Republicans and their extremist allies are already pouring millions of dollars into our race to defeat Tom.
- Tom will have to raise millions of dollars to defeat his extremist opponent who will rack up more votes with Blakeman at the top of the ticket.
Now, our end of year fundraising deadline has just become even more important. We need a surge of resources before December 31st.
