Dear John,
Advocates for Trans Equality has a plan. And in 2026, we’ve got a real opportunity to strike back against these repressive politics through four organizational priorities that shape the daily safety and well-being of trans people: health care, identity documents, employment, and participation in public life.

Protect Our Health Care
A4TE will sustain and strengthen litigation and administrative advocacy to protect access to gender-affirming care . And we’ll continue to help trans people access health care through our Trans Health Project.
ID Documents Center and Name Change Project
A4TE will safeguard accurate gender recognition by defending access to passports, IDs, and other vital documents through litigation and public policy.
Safeguard Employment Protections
A4TE will ramp up our efforts to preserve and expand employment protections under Bostock v. Clayton County through litigation and regulatory advocacy.
Defend Our Participation in Public Life
A4TE will counter efforts to exclude trans people from education, sports, and community spaces through litigation, coalition strategy, and public education.
With these priorities, A4TE will advance a future where trans lives are protected and affirmed. We’re building a movement that withstands everything they throw at us. We’re demonstrating care through action. And we’re doing it thanks to you.
The role you play in funding that work is critical, especially right now. Can you help ensure A4TE has the resources we need to meet this moment with strength and resolve? [[link removed]]
