The Wilson Center

Dear Friends,

As this year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the world the Wilson Center was created to serve. Even in a time of rapid global change—when new technologies reshape our possibilities, diplomacy evolves in unexpected ways, and democratic institutions are called upon to adapt—we see extraordinary opportunities for constructive leadership and informed policymaking.

Through it all, the Wilson Center has remained what Congress intended it to be: a trusted, nonpartisan space where the best scholarship meets the real-world demands of public policy.

In moments like these, our Congressional mandate is not simply a mission statement, it is a source of strength. The Wilson Center continues to do the steady, essential work that bolsters democratic governance: cultivating fellows whose research illuminates complex global issues; forging partnerships that translate expertise into actionable insight; and expanding our educational engagement with Congress at a time when informed decision-making has never mattered more.

Looking ahead, we are energized by the possibilities before us and are doubling down on what the Wilson Center does uniquely well. Our Fellowship Program will remain at the heart of our work, bringing leading scholars and practitioners into residence to produce research that cuts through noise and clarifies the challenges ahead. To ensure policymakers have access to rigorous, balanced analysis, we will deepen our partnerships across sectors and disciplines.

And our bipartisan education efforts will continue to equip Congress with the historical grounding, comparative perspective, and nonpartisan expertise necessary to legislate effectively in a tumultuous global landscape.

This work requires independence, integrity, and the freedom to follow evidence where it leads. It also requires the generosity of individuals who believe that public policy is stronger when it is informed by scholarship rather than shaped by partisanship. Your support makes it possible for the Wilson Center to remain an institution that advances understanding, civility, and sound decision-making across political divides.

As you consider your end-of-year giving, we hope you will invest in the Wilson Center’s work at this critical moment. Your contribution helps ensure that, amidst uncertainty, leaders have access to the best ideas and the clearest analysis.

Donate to the Wilson Center

Thank you for your commitment to rigorous thinking, effective public policy, and the enduring value of scholarship in public life. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to the work ahead.

Sincerely,

Natasha Jacome
