Dear John,
As the year draws to a close and families gather to celebrate the season of giving, we’re reminded of what truly matters: love, belonging, and the simple joy of being together. For many immigrants, these moments are not guaranteed. Instead of holiday warmth, countless families face separation, detention, and uncertainty—simply because of where they were born.
This is the reality we’re fighting to change.
Your compassion has fueled progress this year, even in challenging times. Together, we’ve stood for fairness, fought for dignity, and helped ensure that immigrant families have access to justice and opportunity.
As we gather with those we love, we also remember the families who are still waiting to be reunited, the asylum seekers striving for safety, and the communities strengthened by every person who chooses hope.
From all of us at the Council, thank you for standing with immigrants. Wishing you joy and peace this holiday season.
Warmly,
The American Immigration Council Team
P.S. There’s no better time to make your first gift. Will you make your first gift before the year-ends to help us finish strong
