Hey there, it’s Meghan, Executive Director of the DGA, reaching out for the first time in a while – what a year this has been! But before I go on, I want to personally invite you to complete our 2026 strategy survey!

As we close out a historic year for Democratic governors nationwide, I want to start by saying: thank you.

I just checked our ‘25 records, and I’m amazed. Because of grassroots donors like you, the DGA has received more than 1.4 million individual contributions so far this year – with an average grassroots donation of just $19. And together, supporters like you have taken over 7 million actions to guide DGA strategy: signing petitions, completing surveys, stepping up when it mattered, and powering our movement forward. I’m so grateful!

Team, this commitment helped deliver two massive, game-changing victories. Last month, we elected two incredible Democratic women governors in Virginia and New Jersey who outperformed the polls and defeated their Republican opponents by huge margins. Their wins reaffirm what we’ve known all year: voters are rejecting Donald Trump’s extreme MAGA agenda – and Democratic momentum is real, powerful, and growing.

Team, I can’t overstate how important next year’s elections will be: every single race in 36 states across the country will shape whether we protect reproductive rights, expand access to health care, fight for affordability, and safeguard our freedoms.
