* *Summary:* DHS is conducting an optional, anonymous survey to collect feedback on how the direct care staffing shortage impacts people who receive supports.

* *Audience:* People interested in addressing the direct care workforce shortage
* *Summary:* DHS collected and summarized information on service rates and compensation requirements across more than 100 direct care services in Minnesota.





DSD messages

Disability waiver changes to take effect in February 2026 [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, caseworkers and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS expects to implement Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) and Developmental Disabilities (DD) waiver changes authorized by the 2025 Minnesota Legislature in February 2026 instead of January 2026.

* *Summary:* CMS approved DHS’ application for renewal of the CADI Waiver program.

* *Summary:* DHS posted a provisional license application checklist for EIDBI provider agencies.

Webinar announcement: Culture of Safety Orientation [ [link removed] ]

* *Event dates:* Jan. 21, May 20 and Sept. 16, 2026
* *Summary:* DHS will host three identical Culture of Safety Orientation webinars that cover the human factors and safety science principles necessary to analyze critical incidents and inform decision-making.
