Look, I know a thing or two about how to win as a Democrat in the South. And it’s not easy.
In my first election for Governor of Kentucky, the odds were stacked against us. Donald Trump had won the state a few years prior by almost thirty points. Right-wing Super PACs spent a fortune to try to defeat me. But thanks to the support of an incredible grassroots team and an extraordinary effort, we shocked the nation — and we won.
So, take it from me: Jon Ossoff’s Senate race in Georgia will likely be the most competitive and expensive election in the nation next year — and winning won’t be easy.
The GOP and their Super PACs will spend hundreds of millions of dollars to try to defeat Jon and send another Trump lackey to the United States Senate.
Winning this race means Jon and his team will need to build the largest statewide campaign Georgia has ever seen to fight back and win. They’ll need more volunteers, more ads on the air, and more staff to have a decisive victory next November. Running a campaign of that size takes an unprecedented level of resources, so Jon needs supporters like you to join him and help fuel his efforts right now.
