In 2022, I was proud to lead an organization that endorsed John Fetterman. He presented himself as a pro-working class progressive who would fight for people's jobs, people's health care, and people's rights. But, I admit: I couldn’t have been more wrong.
We're rescinding our endorsement and we will be supporting a primary contest against John Fetterman.
Senator John Fetterman reached a new low by being the lone Democratic vote against stopping Trump's reckless acts of war against Venezuela. We've watched regime change wars fail for decades. We've watched them cause American casualties for our entire lives in the forever wars. And we watched him vote to give Trump unlimited war powers even after he campaigned as a progressive. Simply put: he lied to voters.
Path to Progress is the key to building a robust opposition to MAGA within Generation Z. We'll need those voters to turnout not just to defeat Trump's majorities next year but also to win primary elections and elect progressive champions who won't backstab us in office.
