What if one paid internship could change a young person’s career trajectory while also strengthening your workforce?

Black women are facing rising unemployment, fewer advancement opportunities, and shrinking investments in DEIA. These realities are already shaping the future our girls will inherit. The Girl Ambassador Program ([link removed]) (GAP) was developed to intervene early by giving Black girls the access, skills, and support the workforce too often withholds.

Black girls don't lack talent or ambition; they lack clear and equitable pathways from education to employment. GAP is our four-year workforce development pathway for grades 9–12, designed to close that gap. Participants build confidence, earn credentials, develop digital and AI literacy, and gain paid work experience that keeps them on track for college, careers, and leadership.

We’re inviting employers to partner with us as Hiring Partners. When you hire a GFAC intern, you’re not just filling a role; you’re helping close the gap between preparation and hiring, talent and access, and potential and opportunity. GAP interns arrive trained, supported, and ready to contribute, backed by GFAC with pre-internship preparation and ongoing coaching throughout the summer.

In return, Hiring Partners gain motivated, well-prepared talent with creativity, digital fluency, and community insight—while investing in a future-ready workforce and real, measurable impact.

Even as budgets and narratives shift, the need for mentorship, professional training, and early career access remains constant. So does our commitment.

Join us as a Hiring Partner and help build the workforce our community—and our future—needs.
