James,
Trump and his cronies aren't done yet with their push to wipe out PBS and NPR for good. But now we have a chance to stop them, before it's too late.
A conservative group just filed a petition urging the FCC to strip NPR and PBS stations of their licenses. Their plan: kick trusted local voices off the air, and hand our public airwaves to MAGA mouthpieces.

Here's our chance to stop them: Congress is negotiating its 2026 budget right now and can restore funding to keep local stations afloat. But it will only happen if enough of us come together to demand our representatives save NPR and PBS.

This new attempt to take away PBS and NPR station licenses isn't coming out of nowhere. Trump and his cronies in Congress already slashed public media funding and now MAGA is busy trying to claim these stations have failed to "serve the public interest."
It's a lie. For years, NPR and PBS have brought us fact-based news, world-class documentaries, educational shows for children, and critical local reporting.
But right now public media is hanging on by a thread after Trump's $1.1 BILLION in funding cuts earlier this year. Local stations are being forced to close their doors — Arkansas' statewide public television network just announced it will end its affiliation with PBS thanks to funding cuts, saying it cannot afford PBS membership fees.

Meanwhile, Trump's busy rubber stamping mega-mergers for his oligarch media buddies – tightening their grip on what we see, hear, and read. We CANNOT let Trump and his oligarchs hand our public media over to private billionaires.

This is bigger than politics. This is about defending the last thread of non-commercial, community-supported journalism in America from an all-out assault by the MAGA right. Together, we're not just defending TV and radio stations. We're fighting for the real, trusted news our families, our neighbors, and our democracy need to survive.
When we organize, we win.
