Hi, I’m Shira Goodman, Vice President of Advocacy for ADL — and a proud mother.
Like so many Jewish parents, I’m deeply concerned by the harassment, threats, assaults and intimidation our children are facing at school. Winter break offers a pause, but our students deserve more than a temporary break — they deserve schools that are safe and welcoming when they return, and always.
No student should feel threatened or intimidated. No parent should have to worry about whether it’s safe to send their children to school.
That’s why the ADL Center to Combat Antisemitism in Education is working tirelessly to protect Jewish students by:
Challenging antisemitism in schools through advocacy, policy and litigation.
Keeping parents and other concerned people informed and empowered every week with our Campus Alert emails.
Defeating efforts by the largest K-12 teachers’ union to censor ADL’s Holocaust and antisemitism education materials.
Releasing our Campus Antisemitism Report Card that has pushed colleges and universities to work with ADL to significantly improve protections for Jewish students.
