John, here’s the situation:
At this point last month, we’d raised almost 15% more resources than we’ve raised right now. Meanwhile, the DCCC just posted that they raised over $40 million last quarter. Inevitably, some of that money will go towards protecting their corporate incumbents – which means we have to pick up the pace.
When we fall behind, there’s no list of corporate donors to bail us out. The DCCC might take that kind of money, but we don’t – because we know there’s strings attached. Justice Democrats are dedicated to fighting for one group: the working people of this country.
Catching up on this goal now is absolutely critical if we’re going to replicate the victories of candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman. That’s because we’re rapidly approaching a series of important primaries and need to make investments in those races now.
We’ve seen how close some of these races can be. Your support today could be the tipping point between a new progressive leader winning their election, or an out-of-touch corporate leader remaining in office for yet another cycle.
Thanks for everything you do. Together, we’ll keep up the fight for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice for all.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
