Americans deserve a BLM director who will be a true steward of the millions of acres under the agency’s care. Steve Pearce is NOT that person.

Steve Pearce’s record is awful and terrifyingly effective. He has fought to sell off public lands, denies climate change exists, attacks critical environmental protections, and has helped huge oil and gas companies avoid paying their fair share in taxes.

His nomination is further proof that Donald Trump and his administration still view our public lands as assets for sale.

We’ve stopped their reckless attempts to sell off our public lands before – but we can’t stand by as they try yet again.

Here in Colorado, we know that our public lands are a national treasure and they deserve to be preserved and protected. When MAGA Republicans tried to sell millions of acres this summer, John Hickenlooper stopped them.
