Here’s an update from our campaign:

Making Healthcare and Energy More Affordable

Last week, the House passed two important pieces of legislation - theLower Healthcare Premiums for All Act ([link removed]) and the SPEED Act. ([link removed]) These bills address the high cost of healthcare and energy to make life more affordable.

The Lower Healthcare Premiums for All Act makes important reforms to help address rising healthcare costs.
* Gives 400,000 more Americans access to health insurance
* Lowers healthcare costs for families by roughly 11%
* Implements drug pricing transparency reforms

The SPEED Act reforms outdated energy permitting to unleash American energy and make life more affordable. There are currently $1 trillion in projects awaiting federal permitting. Projects wait on average 4.5 years ([link removed]) to be approved. The SPEED Act:

* Reforms the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to streamline permitting delays
* Sets reasonable limits on litigation that can slow projects and increase costs
* Retains environmental protections to keep our air and water clean

These bills reform federal regulations to lower costs for working families.

On Friday, I joined Jay Weber to talk about our work lowering costs for working families. You can listen to our conversation below or at the linkhere. ([link removed])
