Plastic pollution is getting worse, and new research shows just how dangerous it really is.

A major Pew study warns that plastic pollution will more than double over the next 15 years if we do not change. That means more plastic in our oceans, in our food, and in our bodies.

Eventually, all of this plastic breaks down into the microplastics that we breathe and ingest.

And now, scientists have found microplastics not just in our blood, but in our brains. The long-term health risks are still being studied, but the warning signs could not be clearer. This could accelerate Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. We cannot ignore this.
