Happy Holidays from my family to yours!
Yesterday, we marked the winter solstice—the longest night of the year—and we paused to reflect. This season invites us to seek hope, community and light, despite the long nights.
I’m deeply grateful to the people of Maine for their resilience, care for one another, and the shared love for this place we call home, even in moments of darkness and uncertainty.
As I travel the state hearing from people from every town and city and reflect on the year past and the one ahead, I’m buoyed by the communities who show up for each other. There is so much hope that so many have for Maine – despite the challenges we face.
Tonight, the sunset comes a few minutes later. As my family gears up for our Christmas traditions at home and we turn on the lights, I feel so grateful for my family and friends—and for all who have shown up for us over the past six months on the campaign trail. I celebrate this season of light and the holidays, feeling hopeful for the future because of all of you.
Have a wonderful holiday!
