National Domestic Workers Alliance
============================
Dear NDWA supporter,
Last month, in Chicago, ICE grabbed a daycare teacher in front of the children she dedicates her life to serving, leaving them traumatized.
Her name is Diana Santillana Galeano.
Thankfully she was freed from detention after a massive community response. But her experience shines a light on an ugly truth:
American Domestic Workers—homecare nurses, childcare professionals, housecleaners, and more—are under attack. This is especially true of immigrant domestic workers, who make up a large slice of all domestic workers in the country.
That’s why our work at the National Domestic Workers Alliance is so crucial. We exist to serve, organize, and empower domestic workers at a time when many institutions are turning against us.

Here is a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished together in 2025:
1. When wildfires hit Los Angeles, we raised over $1 million with the Domestic Worker Relief Fund to help working Americans get back on their feet.
2. In Philadelphia, we won a new law - the POWER Act - to protect workers from retaliation, strengthen wage and sick leave laws, and hold abusive companies accountable.
3. We hosted “Know Your Rights” trainings for thousands of immigrant workers across the country to protect them against federal government overreach and abuse.
4. We fostered a community for hundreds of Black domestic workers through our “We Dream in Black” program.
5. We fought against unjust deportations and supported members who faced immigration challenges.
…and so much more!
In 2026, we have plans to scale our organizing and impact, but we can only do it with your support. Will you contribute to help us scale this critical work?
Yes, I’ll chip in today to the National Domestic Workers Alliance. [[link removed]]
Thanks for all you do,
The National Domestic Workers Alliance
P.S. - Every dollar we raise this month is being matched by a donor up to $25,000. This isn’t a fake match like you see in too many fundraising emails these days—5x/10x/20x! It’s a real 1:1 match. If you donate $25, it becomes $50 because of a wonderful NDWA donor. Please give as generously as you can knowing that your impact will be doubled. [[link removed]]
