While most of the world is winding down for Christmas and the conclusion to 2025, Frontline is ramping up ahead of the upcoming legislative session – which will gavel in before everyone has already broken their New Year’s Resolutions.
Throughout this year, God kept putting people in our path with a clear message: Georgia is not serving its special needs community – or their families – well.
That’s why Frontline is committed to answering the call by advancing strong reform with a simple goal: make Georgia the #1 place to live as a special needs person or raise a special needs child.
Over the last several months, our team has met with various stakeholders to draft meaningful, structural reform. Our goal is to improve access, strengthen accountability, remove unintended statutory barriers, support children and families, assist in the transition to adulthood, and ensure our older special needs individuals are cared for after their parents are gone.
If we fail to address the growing challenges facing this community, long waitlists, fractured and inaccessible services, workforce shortages, delayed or denied care, and a lack of accountability, we will pay for it later, both financially and morally. The cost of inaction is higher than the cost of reform and ensuring our special needs community is properly cared for.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll share more details about this initiative, including policy priorities and ways you can partner with us in this important work. This is a defining moment, and Frontline is honored to be part of it.
