Back in April, the Republicans who dominate our state legislature forced Wisconsinites to choose between their constitutional right to vote on Election Day or keeping themselves and their families safe.

It was an unfair, disgraceful act of voter suppression that has been a pattern in Wisconsin for as long as Republicans have had their grip on the majority.

For over a decade, Republican leaders in our state have disenfranchised voters by redrawing districts in their favor and limiting early voting, making it difficult for folks to have a voice in our democracy.

This November, we have the opportunity to stop the GOP’s dangerous voter suppression tactics and flip the state legislature. When we do, we can finally begin to undo the harm Republicans have caused — by drawing fair voting districts, fighting voter suppression, and enacting strong progressive legislation of our own to guarantee every Wisconsinite the right to vote.

Look, I believe in the organizing and get-out-the-vote programs the Wisconsin Democrats are building to fight back. Their work was a major part of how we won the Supreme Court election in April, and it’s how we will win up and down the ballot in November. But we’ll need your help.
