Cutting taxes for the middle class
One of the first things our new Liberal government did was cut taxes for the middle class – putting more money in the pockets of 22 million Canadians. That’s how we’ll empower Canadians to build the future they want for themselves.
Building One Canadian Economy
We moved fast to break down internal trade barriers, bring down costs, and build one strong economy instead of thirteen – with the One Canadian Economy Act.
Expanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan
Today, nearly 6 million Canadians are covered thanks to the Canadian Dental Care Plan, saving an average of $800 a year on dentist visits. That’s real progress to ensure all Canadians can access the vital care they need.
Protecting Canadians and Canada
To build a strong, secure, and sovereign future for all Canadians, we’re reinvesting in the Canadian Armed Forces, building up Canada’s defence industry, and hiring new border and RCMP personnel to secure our borders and keep our communities safe.
Launching Build Canada Homes
In September we launched Build Canada Homes, a new agency and a key part of our plan to double the pace of housing construction over the next decade. It will transform the way we build in this country – to get more homes built faster, and bring costs down for Canadians.
Launching the Major Projects Office
Mark Carney and our new Liberal government are focused on building a stronger, more prosperous economy. That’s why we launched the new Major Projects Office to speed up the major infrastructure projects that will unlock Canada’s full potential and create new careers across the country.
Delivering Budget 2025
Canada is facing generational challenges that demand a generational response. Budget 2025 is that response: a plan for resilience, rooted in confidence, focused on results, and designed to ensure that Canada not only weathers this storm, but emerges stronger from it.
