Hi John,
As we come to the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to thank you — for your trust, your partnership, and the work you do every day to build people-powered movements. This year has not been an easy one. You’ve been organizing, campaigning, and leading through uncertainty, polarization, and real setbacks. And yet, you kept going. Your determination and care for your communities continue to inspire us.
Despite the challenges, 2025 was also a year of meaningful progress and shared wins. We saw some amazing organizing lead to meaningful pushback against this lawless administration at the community level, and, crucially, we saw the impact of your work at the ballot box this November. Action Network partners helped power extraordinary victories across the country. Run for Something candidates earned 129 wins, including 36 red-to-blue flips. The DLCC drove critical state-level successes, from flipping 13 Virginia House seats to securing a New Jersey supermajority and breaking the Republican supermajority in Mississippi. MoveOn-endorsed candidates like Zohran Mamdani, Mikie Sherrill, Kacey Carnegie, Michael Feggans, and Vincent Kearney won decisively. And Sister District achieved a clean sweep, with all 19 of their endorsed candidates winning their races. These victories matter, and they happened because of the tireless work done by partners like you.
And we have kept building here at Action Network. We were excited to launch the beta of Action Network Boost, a new feature package designed to help partners raise more money, deepen engagement, and work smarter with their data. We were also proud to welcome Movement Voter Project to the Action Builder Platform Development Committee (PDC), strengthening our commitment to building tools alongside the organizers who rely on them most. These developments reflect what Action Network & Action Builder is all about: working with our partners to build the tools movements need to win.
As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with hope — and with resolve. There is still so much work to be done, and we remain committed to working alongside you, improving our tools, and supporting the organizers and movements pushing for a more just and inclusive democracy. Thank you for everything you’ve built this year, even under difficult circumstances. We’re honored to be in this work with you.
In Solidarity,
Brian Young (he/him)
