Dear Friend, My name is Patti Adair, and I am running for Congress to represent Oregon's 5th Congressional District. This is a longer message, but it's time I formally introduce myself and invite you to join my team! WHO AM I? I am a mother, wife, businesswoman, philanthropist, and Deschutes County Commissioner, and I am committed to serving the people in my community.  My husband and I live on our horse ranch in Sisters, Oregon – it has been a lifelong family dream of ours! I spent many of my younger years as a 4-H member and Rodeo Royalty, experiences that taught me responsibility, grit, and the value of hard work at an early age. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oregon, as well as a CPA license from Washington State, after attending Central Washington University. I've held leadership roles in fundraising projects in both schools and hospitals, and even worked as an Auditor and Full-Cycle Accountant at Moss Adams. My experience ranges widely, but every position I've held – whether professional, volunteer, or public – has helped me raise my three boys and manage a successful family horse operation! Since 2018, I've been a Deschutes County Commissioner, where I've grown to know and fight for the working families that build our communities. This role has grounded me in the realities facing working families and small businesses across Central Oregon. WHY AM I RUNNING?  I am running because I care deeply about my community, and I believe that with the right leadership in Washington, we can deliver real results that improve the lives of every Oregonian. Whether it's rising electricity costs, inaccessible healthcare, or unsustainable policies that harm small businesses and working families, too many decisions are being made without considering the people who live with the consequences. I am vowing to fight for affordable housing, improved cost of living, and better treatment options for those suffering from homelessness, mental health, and addiction. I am running to be the representative who understands rural communities, respects hard work, and brings common sense to Congress. JOIN MY TEAM  This campaign is about more than just me.
