Dear John,

Last night was the final night of Hanukkah. The amount of light that came from my Hanukkiah, with all the candles lit, was so much brighter than on the first night. In these dark times, it was a reminder that hope – like light – becomes far more powerful when more of us are willing to talk about the better future that is possible.

New Jewish Narrative exists to carry that hope: to build a courageous, progressive Jewish community that insists on justice, on human dignity, and on a future where both Israelis and Palestinians can thrive. At a moment when fear and polarization are loud, we believe in creating space for moral clarity, learning, and action.

The light of Hanukkah is over. But, you can help sustain our hope into the year ahead. Your year-end gift ensures that New Jewish Narrative can continue to lead for peace, for justice, and for a progressive Israel.

Thank you for being part of this shared light.

With gratitude,

Noam Shelef
