Dear John,
As families gather for the holidays, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing a different kind of “Christmas gift” for Americans – and especially for Iranian Americans: another war with Iran.
Over the weekend, major news outlets reported [[link removed]] that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is coming to the U.S. to brief Donald Trump on possible new military strikes on Iran – just six months after declaring the last round of fighting a decisive and lasting victory.
Iranian Americans know what that really means. When war resumes, civilians pay the price – families killed, homes destroyed, lives upended.
And when tensions rise abroad, our community here in the United States feels it immediately: visa bans, ICE scrutiny, travel restrictions, and the renewed securitization of Iranian Americans who have done nothing wrong.
NIAC exists to stop this vicious cycle of violence and civil rights violations.
Earlier this year, when Netanyahu convinced Trump to join the war on Iran, your support allowed NIAC to respond immediately and at scale:
* 18 anti-war rallies organized nationwide
* 200+ meetings with members of Congress
* 8,670 activists mobilized to oppose escalation
* 26,020+ messages sent to Congress demanding no war
* 5,640 new members brought into the anti-war movement
* Bipartisan War Powers resolutions advanced to block future unauthorized military action
That work helped shape the debate in Washington and made clear that there was organized, informed resistance to another endless war, helping bring about a ceasefire.
But as we move toward 2026, the pressure for renewed conflict is growing, not fading. With Iran’s declared nuclear facilities buried in rubble, Netanyahu is now shifting the goalposts—urging the U.S. into war over Iran’s conventional missile program, which does not threaten the American homeland.
That escalation would put American forces in the region at risk while guaranteeing more civilian suffering inside Iran and increased attacks on our civil rights in the U.S.
Here is the reality:
You + NIAC = a real line of defense for our community.
This work is not funded by corporations or governments. It is sustained by individuals who believe diplomacy, accountability, and civilian life matter more than escalation.
Right now, we have raised $112,000 of our $250,000 end-of-year goal [[link removed]] . Closing that gap is what allows NIAC to enter the new year prepared to challenge calls for war early, publicly, and effectively.
