Dear John,
As I write to you in these final days before Christmas, my heart is full -- full of gratitude for God's faithfulness and what He has done for us. My heart is also full of hope for what He is doing and can still do in our nation, and it is full of urgency about the moment we're living in.
This Christmas, as you reflect on the miracle of the Incarnation -- God becoming flesh and dwelling among us -- I want you to think about something:
What kind of culture are we shaping in the world that we will someday leave behind? Is it one where the gospel can be freely shared and the teachings of scripture lived out without fear?
Not just in terms of politics or policy -- though those certainly matter -- but spiritually. What kind of spiritual heritage are we passing down? What kind of faith will they be free to practice? What kind of truth will they be allowed to speak?
Two thousand years ago, in the humblest of circumstances, God sent His Son to redeem mankind -- the greatest gift the world has ever known.
Since then, the church has proclaimed the gospel message faithfully no matter the political or cultural climate.
For Americans, religious freedom has been a cornerstone of our nation since the beginning, when the Pilgrims first arrived on the Mayflower. Whether that freedom remains a cornerstone is up to us.
As we approach America's 250th anniversary in just a few weeks, we have a choice to make: Will we pass down a nation where Christ can still be freely proclaimed, where biblical values are still honored, and where families can still raise their children in the faith?
Or will we be the generation that let it slip away?
I'm asking you to make a special Christmas gift to Family Research Council before December 31. Your gift will help us defend faith, family, and freedom and mobilize believers to be salt and light in their communities.
And remember -- every dollar you give before December 31 will be DOUBLED through our $2 Million Challenge Match, making twice the impact for the kingdom.
DOUBLE MY CHRISTMAS GIFT
My friend, make no mistake -- what we're facing is an epic spiritual battle.
The enemy doesn't want your children to know the truth about Jesus. He doesn't want the church to speak the truth of God's Word with clarity and conviction.
That's why the attacks are so fierce and growing in frequency. That's why they're going after our children with ideologies that deny the very image of God in which they were created. That's why they're trying to silence pastors and criminalize biblical beliefs.
But here's what I know: "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
God is not finished with America. And He's calling His people to stand firm for His truth in this hour.
At Family Research Council, we're not just fighting political battles -- we're engaged in spiritual warfare for the soul of our nation.
On Capitol Hill, we're fighting every day to advance legislation that upholds the biblical definition of family, that protects unborn life, and that fights for religious liberty both here at home and abroad. Through our advocacy in Washington, we're pushing back darkness and shining the light of truth and righteousness.
This Christmas, as you celebrate the birth of our Savior, ask yourself: What legacy am I leaving?
Will the next generation inherit an America that still recognizes we are "one nation under God" -- or will that phrase become a relic of history?
The answer depends on what we do right now in these final days of 2025, as we stand on the threshold of America's 250th year.
When you partner with FRC, you are protecting the spiritual foundations that set America apart and stewarding them for the future.
Your gift, given before December 31 will be doubled thanks to a generous 2X challenge match -- fueling FRC's work to defend religious liberty and proclaim biblical truth!
GIVE NOW - ALL GIFTS DOUBLED
Christmas is a season unlike any other. In the midst of confusion, noise, grief, and ever evolving political and cultural battles, our hearts are re-centered on the beautiful and unchanging truth that, Immanuel, "God with us," has already come and conquered sin and death. And one day, will return to right all wrongs and make all things new.
As we worship and adore Him this Christmas, may we faithfully steward the spiritual inheritance and liberty God has entrusted to us so that future generations can continue to hear and respond to the gospel.
"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).
I pray that you and your loved ones are filled with joy and the abundant wonders of His love as you celebrate the birth of our Savior. Merry Christmas!
